President's Message
The Omaha Police Officers’ Association represents more than 900 sworn rank and file members of the Omaha Police Department.
Since our founding in 1934, the OPOA has worked tirelessly to build a responsive and collaborative relationship with every generation of citizens in every corner of this community we serve. We have maintained a commitment to fairness and equity under the law, advocating both on behalf of the innocent victims of violent crime and the offenders seeking the rehabilitation needed to change their lives.
To continue our mission and to maintain the standard of policing Omaha citizens expect and deserve, the OPOA must attract and retain an outstanding roster of officers by championing fair and comparable wages, competitive benefits, and the safest possible working conditions. We will continue to engage our elected leaders and community stakeholders to find common ground and enact policies that best serve the public safety interests of our officers and the city we call home.
